From Dec. 2, 2021 to Mar. 27, 2022, the first China-Malaysia Chinese Language Debate Contest for University Students was held. Supported by the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia, the contest was co-hosted by the Confucius Institute of SEGi University, KZIUM, Confucius Institute at University Malaysia Pahang, Confucius Institute of University Malaysia Sabah, and Confucius Institute of Universiti Malaysia Sarawak, in collaboration with their partner institutions in China and Malaysia. BFSU participated as the Chinese co-host of KZIUM, and won the third place in the competition. Zheng Chunyue from the BFSU debating team won the Best Debater award.
