On Dec. 9, 2021, the opening ceremony of the International Forum of BFSU co-hosted CIs 2021 was held in a blended format. Wang Dinghua, Chair of the University Council, BFSU, congratulated the three CIs that won the Group Award in SEE Love (CI)––My Connections with BFSU Essay and Video Contest and the six Chinese directors who won the 2020-2021 Outstanding Chinese Directors of Confucius Institutes/Confucius Classrooms. The theme of the forum was International Chinese Education in the Post-Covid Era. Yang Dan, President of BFSU, Jia Wenjian, Vice President of BFSU, Kim In-chul, President of the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Irina Kraeva, Rector of Moscow State Linguistic University, Innara Huseynova, Vice Rector of Moscow State Linguistic University, Yang Zhong, Executive Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Nanjing University, Yu Ganqian, President of Honghe University, Zhang Canbang, Vice President of Honghe University, Yong Zulina Zubairi, Associate Vice-Chancellor of the University of Malaya, Shana Tong, President of Maryknoll School, and Dan O. Nagami, Vice President of Maryknoll School, attended the opening ceremony. At the forum, representatives of CIs discussed forms of online activities and integrated development of online and offline international Chinese teaching. Nearly 100 people attended the forum, including Chinese and foreign board members and directors of BFSU co-hosted CIs, as well as representatives of former Chinese directors.
