On May 30, 2024, the opening ceremony of the 2024 Convitto Nazionale Vittorio Emanuele II Summer Camp (Beijing) was held at BFSU. Jia Dezhong, then Vice President of BFSU; Hui Hui, Deputy Director of the European Division of CLEC; and Febronia Cappadona, Vice Principal of Convitto Nazionale Vittorio Emanuele II, attended and delivered speeches. In March 2019, prior to President Xi Jinping’s state visit to Italy, Paolo M. Reale, Principal of Convitto Nazionale, and eight students wrote to President Xi, expressing their eager anticipation for his visit and their willingness to contribute to the friendship between China and Italy. President Xi replied, expressing his hope that they would become “Marco Polos of the new era” and ambassadors for cultural exchange between China and Italy.
