On Dec. 6, 2023, BFSU held the 2023 International Forum of BFSU co-hosted CIs. The theme of the forum was Promoting Language and Cultural Exchange, Enhancing Mutual Understanding Across Civilizations. Wang Dinghua, Chairman of the University Council of BFSU; Jia Wenjian, then Vice President of BFSU; Irina Krayeva, Rector of Moscow State Linguistic University; Imre Hamar, Vice Rector of Eötvös Loránd University; Màrius Martínez, Vice Rector of the Autonomous University of Barcelona; Raúl Ramos Lobo, Vice Rector of the University of Barcelona; Nadia Bhuiyan, Associate Provost of Zayed University; Liu Yanhong, Vice President of Honghe University; and Federico Masini, Chair of the CISUR Board, attended the opening ceremony. Imre Hamar and Jiang Ying, Chinese Director of CIHUFS, delivered speeches on behalf of the Chinese and local directors, respectively. Wang Dinghua presented awards for the 2023 SEE Love (CI)—My China Story Vlog Competition and the Outstanding Chinese Director of the Confucius Institute for the 2022-2023 academic year.
