On Oct. 25, 2025, the 2025 “Chinese Language Teaching Idols” International Chinese Teaching Skills Exchange Event (North China), jointly hosted by CLEC, the National Steering Committee of Graduate Education in International Chinese Language Education, and the National Joint Conference of Undergraduate Program Directors for International Chinese Education in Higher Education Institutions, and co-organized by BFSU, was successfully held in Beijing. Zhao Gang, Vice President of BFSU; Liu Jie, Vice Chairman and Editor-in-Chief of the Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press; and Luo Yan, Senior Program Officer of the Teacher Management Division of CLEC, attended the opening ceremony. Liu Xiaochen, Deputy Director of the BFSU Offfce of Confucius Institutes, presided over the ceremony. Experts, scholars, and teachers from more than 20 universities, along with student representatives from 14 countries including China, Vietnam, Thailand, Russia, Laos, and Turkmenistan, participated in the exchange on-site, with nearly 10,000 people joining online via live stream.
