On Apr. 18, 2025, the launch ceremony of the 2025 International Chinese Language Day, established  by CLEC, was held at BFSU. More than 700 people attended the event, including foreign diplomats from  more than 20 countries such as Albania, Bulgaria, Malawi, Niger, Senegal and Somalia, representatives  from international organizations including the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the ASEAN-China  Centre, delegates from international language and cultural institutions like the Beijing French Alliance,  officials from the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and China International  Communications Group (CICG), as well as representatives from universities, social organizations and overseas students in China. Wang Dinghua, Chairman of the University Council of BFSU, delivered a  speech at the launch ceremony.
