From Nov. 15 to 17, 2024, the 2024 World Chinese Language Conference was held. Jia Wenjian, President of BFSU, and Liu Xinlu, Vice President of BFSU, were invited to attend. Jia attended the Symposium Commemorating the 20th Anniversary of Confucius Institutes and delivered a speech. He also gave the keynote speech at the 2024 World Language Education Forum organized by BFSU. Liu attended and chaired the 2024 China-GCC Language and Culture Forum. Twenty-three Chinese and international students from BFSU gave a choral performance at the opening ceremony. BFSU co-hosted CIs, individuals from BFSU’s co-hosted CIs, and partner institutions received multiple awards at the conference. FICB and CIM were awarded the title of 2024 Outstanding HSK&CTC Test Center. CIMSLU and ELTE-CI received the title of Model Test Center. Ferenc Hudecz, member of ELTE-CI Board; Professor Andrzej Kapiszewski from Jagiellonian University; Professor Federico Masini, Chair of CISUR Board and Italian Director of CISUR; and Professor Richard Trappl, Austrian Director of CIUV, received the Brilliance of CI appreciation plaques.
