On Sept. 25, 2025, Zhao Gang, Vice President of BFSU, attended the 2025 Global Confucius Institute Day event and delivered a speech. The award ceremony for the fifth CI Moments Global  Short Video Competition was held during the event, and the BFSU co-hosted CIs won several awards,  including one first prize (awarded to CISUR), two second prizes (awarded to ELTE-CI, CIMSLU  and OCI), and five third prizes (awarded to CIMSLU, KZIUM, CIK, FICB and CIL). CIMSLU also  received the Best Organization Award. In addition, Aksiniya Koleva, Bulgarian Director of CIS, was  awarded the Medal for Long Service as a Confucius Institute Director.
