On Dec. 1, 2024, the celebration of “Professor Richard Trappl’s 50-year Engagement with China” was held at BFSU. The event was attended by Jia Wenjian, President of BFSU; Zhao Gang, Vice President of BFSU; Ulf Hausbrandt, Minister of the Austrian Embassy in China; Gudrun Hardimann-Pollross, Cultural Counsellor of the Austrian Embassy in China; and Professor Richard Trappl, an Austrian sinologist and the Austrian Director of CIUV. Qi Mei, Chinese Ambassador to Austria; Heinz Fischer, former Austrian President; and Ernst Woller, President of the State Parliament of Vienna Austria, delivered speeches via video.
