Mar. 22nd and 23rd, an eleven-member delegation from BFSU went for a cultural tour in Henan Province. Chaired by Jin Limin, Director of BFSU Office of Confucius Institutes, the delegation includes eight Ph.D. students of “Confucius China Studies Program” from seven countries.
During the two-day tour, the students visited the Longmen Grottoes, Yin Xu (Ruins of Yin Dynasty), and National Museum of Chinese Writing. A small symposium was also held, inviting a graduated Ph. D. of the “Confucius China Studies Program” to share her study experience, which aroused heated discussions among students who also shared their experience in study and daily lives.
Up to now, BFSU has enrolled 35 Ph. D. students of “Confucius China Studies Program” from 24 countries across four continents. The program, sponsored by Hanban, aims at helping youths from foreign countries to better understand China and Chinese culture, and to make contributions to world cultural communication.
