On Jan. 14, 2019, the 8th Board Meeting of CIHUFS was held in BFSU. Kim Inchul, Chairman of CIHUFS Board & President of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, and Yan Guohua, Vice Chairman of CIHUFS Board & Vice President of BFSU attended the meeting. Also attending the meeting were Zhang Xiaohui, Executive Dean of BFSU School of Chinese Language and Literature, Jin Limin, Director of BFSU Office of Confucius Institutes, Wang Bo, Head of Korean Language Center of BFSU School of Asian and African Studies; Lee Sungyoung, Director of the Office of Administrative Support of HUFS, CIHUFS’ Korean Director Park Heungsoo, Deputy Director Jung Yoonjung, and Chinese Director Miao Chunmei. The board reviewed the CIHUFS’ 2018 work report and its plans for academic and cultural programs for 2019. The two sides also had an in-depth discussion on the celebrations of the 10^th anniversary of CIHUFS and issues related to the student exchange and joint programs between BFSU and HUFS. After the board meeting, President Peng Long met with Kim Inchul and his delegation, and both sides agreed on some key cooperation programs between the two universities for 2019.
