On the morning of Sept. 25th, the 2018 Board Meeting of CID was held in BFSU Administration Building. Prof. Alfons Labisch, board member of CID & Honorary Member of the Council of the Confucius Institute Headquarters; Cord Eberspächer, German Director and board member of CID; Peng Long, President of BFSU; Li Xuetao, Dean of BFSU School of History; Jin Limin, Director of BFSU Office of Confucius Institutes; and Yao Yanxia, Chinese Director of CID attended the meeting.

The meeting reviewed and discussed the minutes, work report, financial report of the previous year and the development plan of CID, adjusted its board members, and clarified the development strategy of CID to cover the entire Rhineland, and drew out the detailed plans for CID and BFSU to facilitate the China-Strategie des BMBF (Federal Ministry of Education and Research, Germany).

After the board meeting, Cord Eberspächer was invited to be a specially-appointed researcher of BFSU School of History.
