On May 2nd, David Lassner, President of the University of Hawaiʻi (UH) visited BFSU. President Peng Long and Vice President Yan Huohua met with the delegation. Peng Long said in his speech that BFSU valued its cooperation with UH and looked forward to making common progress based on continuous cooperation so as to generate new drivers for the teaching and research of both sides. President Lassner pointed out that the cooperation between BFSU and UH was supported by substantial cooperation between different schools, departments and programs. He wished to extend the scale and innovate the mode of exchanges and cooperation with BFSU. Later, Peng Long and David Lassner, on behalf of the two universities, renewed the MOU on Exchanges and Cooperation between BFSU and UH. Representatives of relevant schools and departments signed the sixth agreement between the two universities: Articulation Agreement of Business Degree. The two sides exchanged their views on the cooperation in area studies, as well as studies in second language acquisition, historiography, language and culture in the pacific region and other academic fields.
