At the invitation of the Office of Chinese Language Council International, on July 8, 2015, Mr. Han Zhen, Secretary of CPC Committee of BFSU gave a lecture in Chongqing Normal University to the pre-post training class for Chinese directors of Confucius Institute 2015. In the lecture titled “Interpretation of the Spirits of the Feature Lectures of Secretary General Xi Jinping”, Secretary Han, by associating with the current development of Confucius Institute, reviewed and analyzed the lectures and speeches that Xi Jinping delivered about diplomacy and foreign cultural exchanges in recent years under the overall background of “realizing the two centenary goals, while opportunities and challenges are in co-existence”. He summarized the key spirits of Xi’s lectures and concluded the strategic guiding thoughts of the current and future diplomatic policies of China and the nature of the international and complementary exchanges between different civilizations. The lecture, featuring diverse contents, in-depth reflection and both high theoretical and practical values, was important in terms of helping Chinese directors to identify themselves, present China and introduce China better to the world in their future work. It received active response from the directors. Besides, it was the second time that Secretary Han has delivered training lectures to the pre-post training classes for Chinese directors of Confucius Institute.
The training started from July 2 and will last for one month. In total, about 120 director candidates selected from universities all over China took part in the training.
