On Nov. 2 and 3, 2024, four locally employed Chinese teachers from KZIUM participated in the First “Chinese Language Teaching Idols” Southeast Asia Region - International Chinese Language Teacher Teaching Skills Exchange Competition in 2024. Nur Afifah Binti Elias won the Teaching  Innovation Award; Mariam Binti Md Nor won the Teaching Characteristic Award; and Elya Elfira  Binti Azman and Norshuhana Binti Mohd Noor won the Teaching Charm Award.
