From July 29th to Aug. 10th, CIN sent 15 students from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU), The Nuremberg Institute of Technology, Ansbach University of Applied Sciences, Coburg University of Applied Sciences and Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences to participate in “Understanding China” College Students High-level Training Session. The session was jointly held by Confucius Institute Headquarters/Hanban and BFSU. With its strengths in multilingual and interdisciplinary language and cultural studies, BFSU helped students develop global vision with lectures and cultural experience activities. The lectures covered a wide range of topics, including Chinese history, art and culture, social evolution, international relations, the change in the social and family status of Chinese women, etc. At the end of each lecture, students would have discussions and made comparative analysis on the cultural differences between China and Germany, demonstrating their ability of critical thinking.
