From Oct. 4th to 7th, “Production-oriented Approach in the Multicultural Contexts” International Conference was held in ELTE-CI. Over 30 linguistic and language teaching experts from different countries including China, Hungary, Poland, Turkey, and Slovakia participated in the conference. Ferenc Hudecz, former rector of Eötvös Loránd University & Honorary Member of the Council of the Confucius Institute Headquarters, Imre Hamar, Hungarian Director of ELTE-CI, Jin Limin, Director of BFSU Office of Confucius Institutes attended the opening ceremony and gave speeches.

Production-oriented Approach (POA) is one of the frontier studies of second language acquisition, playing an enlightening role in teaching Chinese as a foreign language. Teaching methods related to POA has achieved desirable effects in the application to Chinese teaching in some CIs. Studies of POA are now conducted by the National Research Center for Foreign Language Education, BFSU.
