Selection Test of Chinese Directors for Confucius Institutes 2015-2016
 

From March 6thto 8th, BFSU held “The Selection Test of Chinese Deans for Confucius Institutes 2015-2016”, in which 179 candidates from colleges and universities across the country participated.

BFSU has undertaken the selection test of Chinese directors for the third year in a row. The team of interviewers is consisted of former ambassadors, leaders of key universities in China, leaders and program officers of the Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban) and former Chinese Deans of Confucius Institutes. Ma Jianfei, Secretary of the Communist Party Committee of the Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban), Wang Yongli, Executive Deputy Director, Hu Zhiping, Jing Wei and Xia Jianhui, Deputy Directors Peng Long and Yan Guohua, President and Vice President of BFSU served as interviewers. Professors and instructors of English, French, German, Russian, Spanish, Japanese, and Korean from our university acted as the examiners of foreign language oral test.

Staff from the Office of the Confucius Institute, full-time Chinese teachers and over 40 student volunteers from the School of Chinese Language and Literature were engaged in related examination work. Their work was well received by the Confucius Institute Headquarters (Hanban).

BFSU has taken an active part in the development of oversea Confucius Institutes by way of comprehensively contributing its own resources, serving the national strategies and cultivating professionals. To date, BFSU has undertaken the establishment of 21 Confucius Institutes, which are distributed in 17 countries of three Continents of Asia, Europe and America. BFSU tops the list of the number of Confucius Institutes among Chinese colleges and universities. In the past 10 years, we have selected and sent 53 Chinese Directors and made outstanding contributions to the international promotion of Chinese language as well as cultural and educational exchange between China and other countries.
