Introduction of the “Confucius New Sinology” Program
In the hope of assisting young talents from various countries to better understand China and the Chinese culture and to promote the development of Sinology and the Confucius Institute as well as the friendship between people from China and the world, the Confucius Institute Headquarters established the Confucius New Sinology Program in 2012. Sub-programs include the Joint Research Ph.D. Fellowship, Ph.D. in China Fellowship, the “Understanding China” Fellowship, the Young Leaders Fellowship, the Publication Grant, and the International Conference Grant.
As one of the first 14 universities in China to implement the program, BFSU has welcomed 21 Confucius New Sinology Program Ph.D. students, two “Understanding China” visiting scholars and one :Young Leaders Fellowship” scholar to our university.
